And so it begins!

General News Finally, with Atom Framework finished work on RikeCart can begin!
Managed to get round to starting this weekend, which is a huge relief, been looking forward to this for a while.

It will be a commercial script but will be cheap enough to make setting up your own online store really easy! This project has come about due to finding a lack of decent commercial e-commerce products, in working at a web design agency we found that most of the ones out there were reasonably priced yet were just too bloated which features the average store owner doesn't need. Sure you can turn them off / just not use them but it's still code which was surplus to requirement.

The other thing we found was that making a "plugin" for these products meant manually editing about 4 files just to add an IF statement checking if the plugin was installed. Not the best use of our time.

So RikeCarts aims to fill this gap by being lite (yet fully featured enough for the average store), easy to plug into (either with hooks or full blown modules) and easy for designers / non-techies to skin!
So stay put, I'll be using this page as dev blog leading up to the initial release, (dev blog will move to the rikecart website after).

In other news I haven't forgotten about WolfCMS Plugins, just working out the plugin controllers for 0.6 is proving harder then I thought, my first script for 0.6 should be coming soon though!
